follow these guidelines:
follow these guidelines:
- Clean stone surfaces with a neutral cleaner, such as dishwashing liquid and warm water. Use a soft cloth for best results. Too much soap may leave a film and cause streaks.
- There are over-the-counter cleaning products that are safe to use on stone surfaces. Read labels carefully to determine which products are appropriate.
- Do not use scouring cleansers or products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids, as these products may etch the surface.
- Spills should be cleaned up immediately to avoid staining.
- Although natural stone is heat resistant, it may not withstand the direct transfer of heat. Always use hot pads underneath hot pans and dishes.
- Clean with water and a nonabrasive, mild pH, neutral soap.
